Official Nintendo Wii Wheel Review

 "Grandma" 2009-10-28
By Grandma V (Nevada)
I purchased this for grandchildren and they have really enjoyed it. We got the game (grandpa and grandma) before 3 of our 8 grandchildren visited. They all enjoyed it so much, their parents too, that I bought them the game for home. I then sent one to our other grandchildren. They all loved it. The kids range in age from 19 down to 3. The parents have as much fun as the kids and so do grandpa and grandma.....They all already had the Wii.

 "just ok" 2009-09-29
By Fred Swanson
I got Mario Kart for my Nintendo Wii and this came with it. Thought it would be a lot of fun and add to the experience, but I found it a little awkward. It's not that it was difficult to use or anything like that, but using a steering wheel not attached to something is different from anything I have ever done and I was unable to get used to it.

Some people love it and there are many "Wheel Only" Mario Kart games, which make it handy to keep around. I don't use it most of the time though.

 "Surprisingly useful" 2009-08-29
By Nick S. (Hyde Park, NY United States)
The Wii Wheel, although just a piece of plastic in the shape of a steering wheel, is surprisingly useful when playing Mario Kart Wii. At first I thought it was a waste of money, but after trying to play the game without it (just holding the controller sideways), I quickly realized that it's worth the money for the ease of use it brings. Since most of the time there's only 1 or 2 people playing, one additional Wii wheel is probably fine, but I probably wouldn't buy 2 additional to have a set of 4.

 "Goofy But Fun" 2009-08-21
By Elisadel (USA)
The important thing to know is that the wheel really doesn't allow you to do anything you can't do otherwise. You don't have to buy one to play the games. It's just a holder that sets the wiimote in a shape that makes it feel a little more like you're actually driving a car.

You can still hit the B-button through a button that's on the underside of the wheel. You can also still use the wiimote's pointer function as needed (there's a hole in the wheel at the appropriate place to let the signal through).

It feels decently good in your hands. It's a little on the small side, but if they'd made it bigger it'd probably have been a little on the heavy side instead, so it's fine.

If you don't like this kind of little prop, feel free to skip it. There won't be any harm done to your ability to play. If do, then enjoy. It does its job well.

The original Wii Wheel great for the mario kart game and a great price from Amazon.

Wii Charge Station Review

 "Must Have!" 2009-10-26
By Maria Tejeda
I love the wii charge station! My kids would go through so many batteries that I swore I was paying for the Wii sytem all over again. But once I got the charge station we were all in heaven. This gadget comes with rechargable batteries and all you do is put them in your remotes and sit them on the station to recharge. That's all there is to it...no more money thrown away in batteries.

 "Excelent!" 2009-10-24
By A. F. PEREIRA (Rio de Janeiro, RJ BRASIL)
For me, the most important thing using a charger is the speed and this one it is faster then others that I tried before.

"My Review on Wii Chargine Station" 2009-10-21
By bmpdmp
I love this thing! It saves you time and money because you don't have to replace batteries in the remotes. All you do is plug the charger in and pop your remote on it and your set!

"Great product! No more batteries to buy!" 2009-10-04
By mj
I've owned this charger for 1yr+ and have had no problems with it. The batteries recharge quickly and the charge lasts a long time. I haven't had to buy and discard regular batteries which is good for the environment and saves $$$. The only downside: the skin has to be partially removed to enable charging but I don't know of a charger that works with the skin in place.

"Very convenient accessory, agree with other reviewers about the hassle with removing the silicone jacket" 2009-10-04
By Hooked2Berry (CA, USA)
Perhaps a must-have accessory for all Wii-owners. I did a fair bit of research on Wii charging stations before settling for this one based on previous reviews. The item does its job and saves a ton of money by eliminating the need for batteries. Easy to set up, convenient to use, does exactly what it is meant to. However, I absolutely agree with other reviewers about the hassle of removing the silicone jacket every time you need to charge the remotes. The company made an extended battery cover which helps, but it would be REALLY helpful if they could make the charger work with the silicone jacket on. Perhaps make a small hole on the back of the silicone jacket which allows the remote to make contact with the charging station? Just a thought, but that would make this product perfect.

Wii HD Link Component Cable Review

 "already stopped working" 2009-10-30
By Lyndsay Gardiner (Boston, MA)
i've had this for about a 2 months and all of a sudden the video went out. only sound. my husband freaked out, thinking we were going to have to buiy a new Wii, but once he put in the original cable, everythign worked.

 "Nice Improvement" 2009-10-29
By Nina (Colorado Springs, CO)
Strange - reviewing this cable requires rating it based on how much "fun" it is. It may not have a large fun quotient, but the cable does improve the display of Wii games so I guess there's fun in that. I'm not technical like some of the other reviewers. All I know is that my games look better in 480p. I'm seeing things in Mario Kart that I've never noticed before, and occasionally I even think WOW that looks great! Very good purchase!

"More fun for less $" 2009-10-28
By D. Orlando (Tuscaloosa, AL)
Having the component video cable hooked up made a large difference in the quality of the video that the Wii can display.

"It's not HDMI but it's still worth it if you have a Wii!!!" 2009-10-10
By Andrew Hauke (West Allis, WI USA)
I bought these cause I was playing my Wii one day on my HDTV (playing Sonic the Hedgehog 3) and was doing one of the chaos emerald bonus rounds. (where you move left, right and jump to get the blue balls) Anyways, I couldn't even beat the first bonus round after about 3 tries, I got really frustrated cause I did it subconsciously about a year ago on my standard TV. The problem was the display lag from 480i to my hdtv's native resolution of 720p. I bought these cables thinking that a 480p input to the TV would take less time to upscale the image. I was right. However the game (like all games) still has a bit of display lag because the image still has to be upscaled from 480p to 720p but at least its progressive scan from the Wii now. (takes away a lot of lag trust me) Not only did the display lag reduce, but the overall image quality was crisper and more sharp and vivid, and the color was outstanding. This did make some games look a bit more "jagged" here and there but it wasn't anywhere near as bad as my PS2 component cables which caused the game to skip attempting to display properly.(Read that review if you want to know more about that)

Conclusion: If you own a Wii and a HDTV, you don't need these, but I STRONGLY recommend you buy them because they will make every part of your gaming experience more enjoyable!

 "Gets the job done." 2009-10-09
By Jeremy A Casellini (Groton, CT United States)
I saw what the Wii can do with a 52"+ $4,500 Plasma TV. Composite video provided the best picture Wii could produce. This isn't as good as HDMI but then the Wii doesn't really support it. The picture was very clear, but the pixel count just isn't as high as XBOX 360 or PS3. I'd recommend this accessory to anyone who has a composite input on their TV.

Wii Dual Charge Station & Turbo Cooler Review

 "Don't waste your money!!!" 2009-10-09
By J. Clemons
I purchased this charge station for my kids wii. This station lasted about a month before it completely stopped working along with my wii. Finally got the wii to work again after being on the phone with customer service for an hour. Do not use this charger with your wii. It will mess your wii gaming console up!!!

 "looks cool, but sucks" 2009-09-29
By Eric J. Johnson (Kalamazoo, MI USA)
A week or two after getting it we had to start sticking paper in the wii remote slot so it would touch the controller to charge (loose) and makes a horrid noise.. looks great but was a waste of money IMHO.

 "Nice idea, bad execution" 2009-09-28
By Jillbeast (Bay Area, CA United States)
I don't like this charging station because you have to remove the silicone covers and the lanyard just to fit them in. After some use two of the contacts have pushed themselves inside the unit and so one side doesnt work unless I open up the whole unit and push them back. After I pushed them back they just bent back inside after one use. I hope that the contact-less charger with four batteries out-performs this gadget. The fan does cool on this machine, but I'm probably going to give up on this one soon as it's loudish.

"Fan stopped working after a few months" 2009-09-27
By D. Zazueta (Concord, CA)
I purchased this because my husband and I were going there a lot of batteries on the wii remotes. This appeared to be perfect because it not only charged the remotes but also cooled the Wii. When it worked, this was a great product. It was compact, quiet and stylish. The price was reasonable at the time, but since the item stopped working so soon after purchase, it is not worth it. I would look for a different item that was more reliable.

 "Great item" 2009-09-10
By Dorys Santana (Miami, FL United States)
I love that i can charge both units and keep the console cool. great idea. highly recommend

 "Broken Rechargable battery" 2009-10-30

I have only had this bundle for a few months. I have never misused it or dropped it. The battery pack no longer takes a charge. I would like my money back or a new battery pack and chord.

Thank you.

 "Not a game" 2009-10-26

Probably only need the board and Fitness Plus but I do like the cover for the board. And my grandkids love the mat. This is not for serious workouts. It does however keep you motivated.

 "GREAT DEAL ON EBAY" 2009-07-18
By M. Broadus (Detroit)
I received my bundle a couple of days ago, and so far i have no complaints. i bought it for $4.80 + $4.00 shipping on ebay so i think i got a great deal.

"Not amazing, but not bad." 2009-07-14
By Nicole (Arkansas)
I could have gotten everything I wanted from this bundle separately and paid basically the same amount, so I just decided to get them all together. I wish it were available at this price in different colors. The bag is thin. There is NO padding, so if you plan on being rough while transporting/storing your Fit, this will be a poor choice. I plan on toting it to friends' houses, but I can't imagine I'll be very rough with it. If you have kids that might be toting it, you might want to consider something a bit thicker. The mat is pretty average. I haven't had any issues with the battery pack. The socks fit my feet perfectly, but I have very average women's feet (size 7 1/2). The silicone cover fits very nicely. The big thing for me with the cover is to keep the fit from getting dirty and covered with dirty sweaty exercise feet. So to sum it up, don't think that this is the most incredible bundle, but I haven't found anything better.

 "Wii Fit Bundle" 2009-05-29
By S. D. Welch (Wilmington, DE United States)
Love this product - the Wii Bundle has been perfect. The cover for the Wii Board is definitely a safety piece as are the socks. Love the recharageable battery - saving lots of money on batteries.

Mario Kart Wii with Wii Wheel Review

 "Great family fun" 2009-11-01
By Michael P. Polk
Great game for all to play. We had racers from 60 years old to 5 years old playing at one time.

 "Mario Kart" 2009-10-28
By Matthew
This is one of those games that you tend to love and be frustrated with at the same time. I have been playing it since it came out almost two years ago and still can't get to level 9999 playing online. When you are racing, your character is given access to several different items to combat foes, like the blue, red, and green turtle shells, bananas, bullet bills, stars, mushrooms, etc. Though, in this game the computer tends to gives you them more often, which can become frustrating when you are hit by the blue shell two, three, or four times in a single race! I don't know how many times someone has knocked me out of a leading position at the very end of a race, only to end up around last place, losing many points in the process. This can be very frustrating for more advanced players who want to get ahead in points, but can't because of the considerable luck factor when it comes to winning, which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. With the other Mario Karts you needed far more skill than luck, but in this one it can be almost equal. I don't mean to bash it. It is still a lot of fun, but you must be ready for periods of "anger" when you play the online prix modes.

"The Wii Wheel takes some adjustment" 2009-10-28
By D. J. Nardi (Washington, DC)
I haven't been crazy about the Wii Wheel so far. My friends and I played Mario Kart on the other systems incessantly, but we just can't seem to get hooked on this game with the Wii wheel. The turning is very often wide. I wouldn't say it's difficult to control, but it isn't easy. Of course, you can use the control pad as well. Unless you're a real racing fan, you should probably rent this first and see how you like it.

 "Fun for awhile" 2009-10-28
By B. Deans
This is my second mario kart owning. Had my first one on the legendary n64. Anyway it felt like more of the same. Had the genuine mario kart feel characters and stages. Surprisingly enough the graphics didnt look like much of a change to me. Guess its just me.

The steering wheel adds a new feel to the game. Makes it feel like you have more control of whats going on that with a simple controller. Being able to shake it up and down to perform tricks is a nice bonus for the kiddies so they dont have to use complex button combinations to perform tricks. With the steering wheel the game just feels pretty fuild and well done.

Difficulty ranges from beginner to basically experienced players. The unlockables are all done through stages and seem to get pretty tedious over time. Some unlockables require you to finish a circuit in first place to unlock. This can be difficult and very time consuming for some.

Lots of stages though once you unlock them all. Some classics lots of new ones. Typical forward and reverse corses. Traps to set items to use to increase or decrease your odds of winning. Battle is pretty fun with the new maps.

Overall i give this game a 3 star rating. Playability is lacking for me. Graphics are ok. Gameplay can be too challenging at times for its everyone rating. Kids will be throwing their remotes at the tv!

 "We have fun!" 2009-10-25

My husband and I have alot of fun playing this game. We play it without the wheel and it works just fun. We prefer it without the wheel.

"Wii has done it again!" 2009-10-30
By Tarah Jeffery
We have two small kids that are four and five. They are able to do some of the games on here and they love it! It gets them off the couch and wanting to have some fun. Wii (Nintendo) has done it again by making another awesome game!

 "Amazing" 2009-10-26
By RB (Minneapolis, MN)
I bought this game for my brother in law. The primary reason I got this game was, it had 2 motionplus. Normally motionplus retails for $20, so there is a huge savings.

The games are addictive and one cannot get done with them. We had hours of fun playing each and every game on the dics. Its a little tricky getting used to the remote (remember its my first time playing wii), but after a point it grows on you and one starts enjoying.

"Fun simple games that are engaging" 2009-10-23
By Morganna Wolf (Portland, OR)
I have a confession to make I bought this for my husband and me. There are no kids in the house. We are not heavy into gaming and the WII was bought primarily for the WII fit.

So, from an adult point of view here goes.

A collection of fun games, that bring out a competitive nature. It is great that each game typically takes only a few minutes so several can be rounds can be played, enjoyed, and a sense of competition is created.

The collection of games has some similar to those on the WII Sports disk and a lot that are new. The Frisbee games and wake board rider have been two of my favorite. My husband feels that with the `motion plus' the golf is much better.

Overall a great addition to my WII collection of games and one that will probably be actively used for a long time to come.

"Great fun fo kids - easy to play" 2009-10-22
By C. Kilroy (Atlanta, GA United States)
We recently played this game at a family member's house, and my 5 and 3 year old kids quickly learned how to play. We don't even have a Wii and this game was very intuitive.

There is a lot of variety, and the play style is engaging to kids. I'm buying it for them for Christmas as we speak...

 "awesome to have" 2009-10-22
By morpheus (Nashville, TN)
I got this Wii game yesterday and i tried a few games so my review may not be complete. However, i have to admit it was pure fun to play the games. I also got the motion plus controllers with this bundle and hooking them up with my existing Wii controller was a breeze. When you load the DVD it takes you through a video demo of how to connect and disconnect the regular Wii controller with this motion controller addon plus the nunchuck but is only a short video so no biggie.

Now, i played ping pong (table tennis) first and found it amazingly wonderful. I can actually put top spin on the ball and i can see it react to my hand movement. I actually won my first 6 pointer game!! wow!

Next, i tried the canoeing game. It was a very cool game and it was fun rowing the canoe.I have never canoed or rowed a boat. So, i found it difficult to keep the canoe straight. However, it was fun.

NExt, i tried the Frisbee game. OMG! the little dog that catches your frisbee is soooo cute. I actually got the hang of it as i used to play frisbee golf. Man! it is so real playing this Wii game. You can actually fade or draw the frisbee. I was very impressed

I also tried the golf game. This is way better than the one that comes with Wii.I have not tried the Tiger Woods game but i loved this. It is going to take me a little longer to get used to the golf game and i am also worried that playing Wii golf might screw up my real golf swing (16 handicapper).

I haven't tried the rest of the games like cycling, sword fighting etc. Will prolly do so this weekend. Overall i am very impressed. I have never been a video gamer and i used to hate those SEGA dreamcast controls and XBox controls as it was hard for me to press various buttons in various combinations.

I think Wii is a revolutionary video gaming tool and i love every bit of this. I gave a 4 star rating 'cos i have only tried a few games and i am not so sure about the golf game. Will modify rating after a while :) This Wii sports resort is worth the money!!

These are cute to have but you definetely do not need them to play. I saw little difference with or without them. I should have purchased 2 sets because only one person gets to use them an the other goes without.

 "Useless and dangerous" 2009-10-20
By Killrig (Kirkland, WA)
The Wii Grand Slam Sports pack is NOT a product of Nintendo. The reason for this is due to the possibility of the accessory attachments coming loose during play, which can damage your friends, family, and even more likely, your television. This very same thing occured on live television when the Home Shopping Network was demonstrating Wii sports with the tennis racket attachment. You can view this on YouTube.

Please, do yourself, your family, and your expensive television a favor and enjoy Wii Sports without these useless and dangerous attachments!

"The video game console for people who hate video games!" 2009-10-09
By Jeremy A Casellini (Groton, CT United States)
I saw an article in Wikipedia about this system and game. It said Wii Sports is the best selling game of all time! Stop and think about that for a minute. From Pong to PacMan to Halo 3, this game outshines them all since old folks and women are attracted to it.

"Just a Wii over 60 and enjoying the Wii" 2009-09-14
By Naturalee (Virginia Beach, VA)
I decided to cancel our gym memberships and purchase the Wii with the personal trainer (Active) software. It was a great decision. My husband I use all the sports games, the personal trainer and don't have to leave the house for fun. We have Wii night with the family and friends and this is a great source of entertainment for all ages.

My Wii package arrived quickly and without any problems. Be sure to decide what you want to play on the Wii before getting it. Some of the software is repetitive. I had my daughter help put our package together and we have just what we need to exercise, play games and get the most from the Wii.

Wii Fit Review

"Good fun, but room for improvement..." 2009-11-01
By E. Bomar (Oregon Coast)
I have had my Wii Fit since mid-August and, I have to say, I have a lot of fun with it. For me the pros are the activity tracking, so I know if and how I have improved, as well as the selection of activities to keep me coming back. I am not a novice, but I am not a pro, neither. The Wii Fit is a good supplement to my gym membership and I can use it anytime I want, which is especially nice since I live on the rainy/windy Oregon coast and work graveyard! Unlike my gym, my Wii Fit is open 24 hours and I can stay dry!

The one thing I'm not too keen on with the Wii Fit? I'm not thrilled about how the Wii Fit does not transition from one workout to the next. It's a bit chopped up between exercises. For me that's a minor issue and I still feel like I'm getting a pretty good workout. How do I know this? My muscles tell me!

Overall, I am pretty happy with the Wii Fit and I have a great deal of fun doing it. I just would not recommend it being your only source of exercise, but it is certainly better than nothing!

 "Wii = Fun" 2009-10-30
By B. Deans
I would like to say that this is by far one of the best investments i have made. The wii has been able to involve workouts in a fun and comprehensive way that has made it much cheaper, fun and enticing than going to a gym. If you were a little overweight and ashamed of going to the gym, or had a lack of time/ money to make it to the gym this is for you.

Controls

Wii balance board and remote. The balance board is the best device i have ever seen constructed. It works on carpets and on hardwood floors. The board weighs you every day and is able to determine how much preasure you are placing from one foot to the other or how your balance is distributed. While doing the exercises it shows you where your ideal balance should be placed and helps you align your body properly to get the most of your workout. The wii remote is used for some tasks like running or jogging. While in your pocket or in your hand it can determine how fast you are moving just by it being on you. 5/5

Graphics

The graphics are typical wii 3d graphics. Nothing above the ordinary but what you should be expecting. If you go for a jog and take an island lap you see a very pretty island with the water along your side. Its enough scenery to keep you running because you want to see it all. The side games like balance and skiing look pretty good. 4/5

Gameplay

You get Aerobics, Strength, yoga, fitness, and minigames all in one. Personally they are all fun to do. Aerobics and strength are my favorites. If you want a break you can cool off with some yoga and or minigames to work on your balance.

-Aerobics you can do jogs walk up and down on the balance board and do some boxing along with other things.

-Strength you can do crunches, pushups, twists and so on. These are the workouts people dread but they are executed flawlessly and actually add fun to the game. As you start out you might have a task to do 10 crunches. As you do this and complete this task a few times then a new version of 20 crunches will appear. And it will go up further and further untill you get to a challenge mode which lets you go 1 on 1 with your trainer to see who can do more of the task before quitting. This is the real challenger right here.

-Yoga you get simlar yoga poses like the half crescent, or the tree. You are required to keep your balance while preforming these poses and giving deep inhales and exhales. The board measures even the slightest movement in your balance and encourages you to do better and better every time. This is more relaxing and can be used pretty well inbetween things like running and crunches to give your body some cool off time.

-Games are there to help you learn how to balance and align your body properly for other various activites in wii fit. Some tasks might require you to balance on the board to move marbles around. Or even move a character around an obstacle maze with the balance on the board. The games add some fun and excitement to the game and are a nice breakaway from working out.

5/5 for gameplay.

All and all the wii fit is a recommendation for everyone. Adults and kids alike will have fun enjoy themselves and keep in shape. You are given a personal trainer that guides you through your workouts. At the beginning you get a body test that measures your weight and determines what your body mass is. Then you are allowed to determine what you want to accomplish with your weight, within a certain time line. You can set goals for yourself that include loosing poundage, gaining pounds or staying in the same weight class. You can then check in on your goals every day and see how your overall weight control has been going on a daily basis. On a side note there is a clock that measures how much time you have invested each day. When the clock hits 30 minutes you have reached your daily goal and it will tell you. On a side note the game is designed to warn you when you have worked out for an hour time. Once you hit the 1 hour mark it gives you a notice that asks you to take a 10-15 minute break and drink some water. This is a great tool and encourages people to not overdo it.

Got it when I had injured my heel and this was perfect to help my recuperation. Still fun when I am healthy.

 "I lost 20 pounds!" 2009-10-28

I was skeptical that a video game could ever lead to exercise, but my wife wanted this game so I got it. Sure enough, I lost 20 pounds using it. It's definitely a fun and entertaining way for people like me who get bored in a gym. I particularly like how it has a series of games that you can beat, which makes it seem as if your exercise regimen has a larger goal - to get the highest score.

Most of the exercises are aerobic, with some limited strength training. However, it doesn't have enough strength training for people interested in body building or muscle development. Rather, it is primarily a way to promote fitness and fun at the same time.

I've wanted a wifit for some time now and am so glad to take the plunge. You won't find a better way to lose weight and exercise. It's like the wi, but for exercising, which means it's going to be hard to get off at the end! If you're looking to get into exercising, and don't know how, I'd say this is a great bet. Highly, highly recommend. To go along with this, I also liked The Game On! Diet: Kick Your Friend's Butt While Shrinking Your Own.
