i’ve had this for about a 2 months and all of a sudden the video went out. only sound. my husband freaked out, thinking we were going to have to buiy a new Wii, but once he put in the original cable, everythign worked.

Strange – reviewing this cable requires rating it based on how much “fun” it is. It may not have a large fun quotient, but the cable does improve the display of Wii games so I guess there’s fun in that. I’m not technical like some of the other reviewers. All I know is that my games look better in 480p. I’m seeing things in Mario Kart that I’ve never noticed before, and occasionally I even think WOW that looks great! Very good purchase!

I bought these cause I was playing my Wii one day on my HDTV (playing Sonic the Hedgehog 3) and was doing one of the chaos emerald bonus rounds. (where you move left, right and jump to get the blue balls) Anyways, I couldn’t even beat the first bonus round after about 3 tries, I got really frustrated cause I did it subconsciously about a year ago on my standard TV. The problem was the display lag from 480i to my hdtv’s native resolution of 720p. I bought these cables thinking that a 480p input to the TV would take less time to upscale the image. I was right. However the game (like all games) still has a bit of display lag because the image still has to be upscaled from 480p to 720p but at least its progressive scan from the Wii now. (takes away a lot of lag trust me) Not only did the display lag reduce, but the overall image quality was crisper and more sharp and vivid, and the color was outstanding. This did make some games look a bit more “jagged” here and there but it wasn’t anywhere near as bad as my PS2 component cables which caused the game to skip attempting to display properly.(Read that review if you want to know more about that)
Conclusion: If you own a Wii and a HDTV, you don’t need these, but I STRONGLY recommend you buy them because they will make every part of your gaming experience more enjoyable!

I saw what the Wii can do with a 52″+ $4,500 Plasma TV. Composite video provided the best picture Wii could produce. This isn’t as good as HDMI but then the Wii doesn’t really support it. The picture was very clear, but the pixel count just isn’t as high as XBOX 360 or PS3. I’d recommend this accessory to anyone who has a composite input on their TV.

It comes with a ton of stuff. The car adapter, house (AC) adapter, a protective cover (Condom, not case) strap for the cover, screen protector. Great quality. The earphones don’t have a mic, so be forewarned. The only gripe I have is that they sent it USPS… I ordered two day service and it took forever. Otherwise I’m very happy!

I wrote a review earlier about my dislikes of the wall charger. Well i signed in today to see they refunded my account for my purchase. That to me is fantastic. That alone made the purchase for me worth it. Even if i have a busted wall charger now the other items are still nice. I am glad to see there are companies out there that really care for their customers even if the purchase i made wasn’t a big amount.
The silicone case is doing me well until i get a hard case. The screen protector was ahrd to put on but i suggest wetting the sticky side on it and then sliding it on. it was pretty easy to get it on and get the air bubbles when its wet.
Did not get to use the car charger.
