 “Great box…not so great zipper” 2009-11-01

I love having this box to carry my headphones and ipod to keep them safe, however the zipper isn’t well made so the hook you pull on sometimes disconnects from the zipper and has to be put back on. Other than that, I really like the case.

Bought this case for an iTouch which travels in the pocket of my shoulder bag. I wanted a case that would contain the device and store the earphones. It generally does the trick but I have a couple of issues. One is that the earphones need to be unplugged completely in order to fully zip close the case. I don’t like removing the earphones unnecessarily because I regard that connection as the weak link in the device, and worry that frequent insertions may ultimately damage the jack and require expensive repairs. The fit for the iTouch is very snug so the earphones needs to stick out a bit and the case remains partially unzipped. It would be great if some way could be found to protect the device and fully close it, without adding greatly to the size. My other issue is minor and that is color. I would prefer a solid black or gray, rather than the pattern.

That said, I got what I expected, and that was a rigid, durable case for an expensive iTouch when it’s being carried in a briefcase, messenger bag, or backpack. It was economical and looks like it will last.

I have a Sansa Fuze MP3 player, and this little case holds it and its earbuds perfectly. Each side of the case has a little mesh pocket that holds the contents securely when you open the case. It is compact, stylish, and hard enough to protect my Sansa when I drop the case. The zipper is sturdy and has given no trouble. I got the black and white case, but I see that it is available in other colors also.

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my 16 year old daughter who has already stepped on one IPod. I think it’s very attractive with the geometric design and seems to be durable. I haven’t had a chance to see how the IPod fits. I’m sure she will love it.

First one I ordered had a rip in the fabric by the zipper. I returned it for another which has held up except the rubber piece that helps with the zipper snapped in half after only a few uses. The case is useful as a hard and stylish once and a while travel case but for every day use it just can’t hang. Junk material and poor quality. This was an all around disappointment in the material of this product. I would not recommend for every day use.
